Privacy Policy
XTrendForge makes short science videos and publishes them on YouTube (@xtrendforge) and Instagram (@xtrendforge). This page explains what information the website and our publishing tool handle. The short version: we do not collect personal information from visitors, and the publishing tool only works with our own accounts.
1. This website
xtrendforge.com is a static page. It has no accounts, no forms, no comments, no cookies and no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not collect, store or sell any information about people who visit it. Your browser or our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and reliability; we do not use them to identify visitors.
2. The XTrendForge publishing tool
XTrendForge is also the name of a private tool we use to plan, upload and measure our own videos. It is not offered to the public and is used only by the owner of the XTrendForge channel and Instagram account. It connects to:
- YouTube and Google APIs, through Google OAuth, to upload videos and captions, edit titles and descriptions, and read the channel’s own analytics. It requests these permissions: upload videos, view and manage the channel’s YouTube content, view YouTube Analytics reports, and manage captions.
- The Instagram Graph API to publish Reels to our own Instagram account and read that account’s own post insights.
The tool only accesses the data of the account owner who authorised it. It does not access, collect or process data about any other Google or Instagram user.
3. What we store and how it is used
- Authorisation tokens for our own accounts, kept on the owner’s computer and not shared.
- Our own video files, titles, descriptions, publishing schedule and performance numbers (views, watch time, subscribers, reach), kept on the owner’s computer and used only to run and improve our channel.
We do not sell this information, share it with third parties for their own purposes, use it for advertising, or transfer it to anyone except the platforms (Google/YouTube and Meta/Instagram) when publishing our own content.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy
XTrendForge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. By using YouTube API Services, the tool is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The owner can revoke the tool’s access to the Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5. Viewers of our videos
When you watch or comment on our videos on YouTube or Instagram, those platforms handle your data under their own privacy policies. We only see the aggregated statistics and the public comments that the platforms show to channel owners, and we do not build profiles of individual viewers.
6. Children
Our website and tool are not directed at children and do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
